Secretos de la Buena Vida is a nutrition related project aimed at the Latino community within San Diego. Our purpose is to introduce new methods of healthier eating, while keeping the same basic food dishes present in the diet. Latinos are one of the fastest growing ethnic groups in the United States, however there is only a limited amount of information we have available when it comes to their health. By studying the dietary habits of this population we can strive to reduce their risk for breast, colon, stomach, and pancreatic cancers.
